The Buyer II is responsible for the planning and procurement of assigned production, non-production (MRO) materials and/or new product introduction (NPI) material requirement. Formulate and develop purchasing and materials management strategies for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. To be considered, candidates must have experience with made-to-print items, raw PCB procurement, and electronic components. This position requires 100% onsite availability. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage moderate and complex commodities.
• Plan material purchases based on MRP requirements.
• Ensure materials are on time to meet production and requisition start dates.
• Send out Purchase Orders (POs).
• Maintain exceptions report.
• Manage issues on supplier management.
• Some exposure to pricing and negotiations on contracts.
• Manage material discrepancies (quality, quantity and price). Work closely with Program Managers regarding quality issues.
• Meet purchased pricing requirements and cost savings adjustments.
• Negotiate cost and lead time reductions for assigned commodities.
• Provide input to the ECO planning process.
• Implement revisions and/or part changes within the ECO process.
• Able to find alternative sourcing for material and deal with tactical issues and concerns.
• Able to support customer procurement across all commodities.
• May participate in new product team meetings.
• Manage to an inventory turns/model budget.
• Act as lead buyer in certain projects.
• Lead in projects as assigned.
• Work closely/timely to resolve discrepant material (MRB) and return material authorization (RMAs).
• Maintain tracking reports and metric charts to provide status, measure performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Interface with Engineers and Supplier Quality including but not limited to MRB resolution.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding workspace.
• Participate in additional training as required.
• May train other employees.
• Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

Qualifications

• Experience with made-to-print items, raw PCB procurement and electronic components is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years of related experience in purchasing including data entry experience in an ERP system is preferred.
• APICS’ CPIM or other relative purchasing certification a plus.
• Extensive knowledge in material planning and procurement process.
• Good knowledge of commodities assigned and major suppliers in the industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent business tools/ applications knowledge (i.e. Email, Excel, MS Word etc.)
• Strong problem solving and workstation skills.
• Self-motived, ability to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to operate in a multi-tasking, highly dynamic work environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
• US Person as defined in 22 CRF Part 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees and those given asylum in the United States, and temporary residents granted amnesty) since work includes ITAR controlled technical data.
